Wednesday Evening

Just a quick evening update. Kande & Mark joined us for dinner tonight and told us all about their advenures for the past two weeks. They're both doing well and have spoken at many churches.

This evening's entertainment wasn't quite as exciting as the bonfire last night. We didn't hear the dinosaur, but spent much of the night playing very loud card games named Peanut & Pit. Evenings here are interesting because once we get home from our daily work projects we have no option, but hanging around and entertaining ourselves. We are a very entertaining group!!

Krista & Mike C., if you are reading this, please respond so that your parents know you care.

Dan's family, thanks for all your prayers and comments!

Everyone else, thanks for responding. We greatly appreciate all your prayers and encouragement!

My name is Jessica Carter and I just got back from Jos, Nigeria about 3 weeks ago. I visited with Grace Chapel. I have to admit, reading these blogs is really making reminise about my experience and am missing all the wonderful children and all our adventures. I pray that you continue to fulfill God's wish for this journey as he did for me. God Bless you all. BTW, I dont know if Chris Ramos is with you, but if he is, tell him I have been testing away!!!

I'm glad to see all the blogs and support for the team. WOW! no TV for entertainment or something to sleep by. You have to be creative and you are. The Phillies won the first game of the series. They play again tonight. A lot of prophecies are being Ohio and the future of the nation have been coming out these last few months. Mostly they say that Ohio is going to play a major role in the future. Pray for Keith Thomas and his hearing this Tuesday it doesn't look good. Been contacting some old political friends and calling in chits to help Keith out. THere is a pray meeting for him on Monday eveing in the Chapel.
We're praying for you all.

Good to see all the blog comments and support for the team. The Phillies won the first game of the world series last night and the next game is tonight. Pray for Keith Thomas. Next Tuesday he'll be having a meeting to finanise his leaving, he thought it would be his day on court. Been working the political side to get to Bush for help. Pray meeting for him on Monday evening in the Vineyard Chapel. Like Mom say's hope you all have coats available when you arrive on Sunday. Forcast is for high's in the lower 50's. Pray the God will take you where HE wants you to go, meet the people he wants you to meet, give you words He wants you to say and then help you get out of His way.
Love Dad Hugs (OOOOO) to all

Safari Participants!
I think Dad Piening filled you in with the lastest and greatest info. The only thing I would like to add is that to tell Dan to leave all the animals there!!
Our candle is still burning as a reminder to keep you in our prayers. God bless and keep you in His care.

Hello! I guess you will all come home tired, but refreshed! May God give you the strength to persevere! Dan asked to US news: Recent AP polls have Obama and McCain nearly tied. (44% and 43% respectively). Dad already said that the Phillies beat the Rays. (In littler league news, Isaac's-Dan's nephew-team won the gym class baseball tournament-a bag of candy or simular possible for the winners). The front page story in Columbus yesterday was how the university/city was preparing against "riots" and crazy behavior in light of OSU's first home night game in 3 years (against Penn State). That should be a good game, if OSU can get into gear. I'll keep you up to date. Not a lot of Bengals news here. Lewis was in the paper saying that they needed to have more of a team perspective...Yeah. Winslow was suspended for 1 game for mouthing off about the Browns. I don't think there is any major sports news (but I don't read the sports page much. Not much to report from the comics though!!) I think the US might be completely the same when you get back-you may be different!!!
God bless! Arlene (Dan's Big Sis)
